When the CHPA network achieves shared savings by meeting quality and cost goals through value-based contracts—which it did in 2023 for the fifth year in a row—the savings are distributed to its Community Health Center (CHC) members. These funds are reinvested into CHC programs to ensure high-quality, affordable care for low-income, uninsured, underinsured, and undocumented patients.
To further support the 857,000+ patients collectively served by the CHPA network in Colorado every year, CHPA is contributing $20,000 to food banks across the state this holiday season. The donations, made on behalf of each member CHC, will be directed to local food banks selected by the CHCs to help alleviate food insecurity.
